Getting Started

What we teach

Getting Started at O’Grady Drama. Our after-school programs encompass a structured syllabus of developmental drama, simply built to help grow confidence, emotional health and identity in your children in an environment where they feel safe and supported. Through the skills learnt in our acting classes, we give them tools to help them navigate life both now and into the future.

Each lesson is carefully planned and includes:

  • Speech practice
  • Verbal dynamics
  • Creative movement
  • Mimes to music
  • Language development
  • Structured improvisation
  • Dialogue development

Three simple steps to success

STEP 1: Find a class

Search the nearest studio > Click on it > Contact the Principal.

Our classes run after-school weekly during school terms. Each class is grouped by age, and each lasts one hour. Our fees are affordable and all-inclusive.

STEP 2: Get them involved!

Enthusiastic participation in each lesson is encouraged in a supportive non-competitive and vibrant environment. Classes are all about inclusion and energy – there is no right or wrong.

STEP 3: Be part of the process

At the end of the first semester parents and friends are invited to see a class presentation. At the end of our year students present a short, scripted ensemble production and all family members are invited to see them in action. You’ll be delighted at their progress.
